  • Dr. Liu Jiren is the founder and now Chairman & CEO of Neusoft Corporation, also Vice-president and a professor of the Northeastern University (NEU) China. He also holds the positions of Vice-chairman at China Software Industry Association (CSIA), and a standing member of Chinese Association of Automation (CAA). He had been the member of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) for many years. In the past few years, Dr.Liu has been serving as the member of Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals at World Economic Forum. Dr. Liu founded Neusoft from the campus of Northeastern University in year 1991. Under the leadership of Dr. Liu, Neusoft has become a leading IT solution & service provider in China with a total of around 20,000 employees, offering a rich portfolio of businesses, including industry solutions, product engineering solutions, and related software products & platform, and services. Neusoft has maintained an average annual growth rate of 20% over the past 20 years, with leading market shares in the solutions of telecom, electric power, social security, healthcare in China and product engineering services for multinational companies in the global market. Due to his outstanding achievements, Dr. Liu has been awarded with numerous honors, including National Award for Excellence in Science & Technology, China Best Business Leader, Asia Innovator of the Year at the 6th CNBC Asia Business Leaders Awards, CCTV’s Top Ten China 2009 Economic Person of the Year and Country Winner of Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2010 China. Dr. Liu was born in Dandong City, Liaoning Province of China in 1955. He graduated from Northeastern University with a major in Computer Applications, and was conferred the degrees of Bachelor and Master successively. He achieved the Doctor degree in 1987 and became the professor of Northeastern University in 1988.

 

  • Since his appointment as president and chief executive officer in March 2010, Shi Lirong has consolidated ZTE Corporation’s position as one of the world’s top five providers of telecommunications solutions and mobile devices, with an expanded presence in major markets including North America, Europe, China and India.
    Under Mr. Shi’s leadership, ZTE becomes one of the world’s biggest providers of 4G LTE technologies and smart devices, leading the global technology industry in international patent applications, and building growing alliances and partnerships with other top technology companies.
    Mr. Shi joined ZTE in 1989, excelling in many key positions in engineering, marketing and sales to drive the global expansion of the company’s operations. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Shi was Executive Vice-President of ZTE from 2006 to 2010, overseeing sales, marketing and customer-service operations globally. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Shi was Senior Vice-President of marketing, after serving as an engineer and production manager. He has been an Executive Director of the Board since February 2001.
    As one of the chief architects of ZTE’s international growth, Mr. Shi was the first company employee to travel outside China on business.
    A senior engineer by training, Mr Shi earned a Bachelor degree in Radio Electronics and Information Technology from Tsinghua University in 1984 and a Master’s degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1989.
    Mr. Shi was named one of the top-20 executives in the telecommunications industry by Global Telecoms Business in 2013, and won the “Outstanding Personality in the PRC Economy” accolade from China Central Television in 2011.

 

  • Ming-Po CAI is the Founder and President of Cathay Capital Private Equity, the first Chinese-French private equity firm focused on high growth French and Chinese companies, with offices in Paris, Shanghai, Beijing and New York. Under his leadership, Cathay Capital has grown to more than €400 million assets under management, including the €150 million Sino-French Fund that was launched in 2012 with investments from the China Development Bank and the Caisse des Dépots Group.
    Mr. CAI brings more than 20 years of cross-border investment experience and deep expertise developing China-entry strategies for multi-national enterprises, and globalization strategies for Chinese companies expanding internationally. Prior to founding Cathay Capital PE, Mr. Cai successfully founded and managed several companies that operated in China and France in the industrial, distribution and textile sectors. He started his career developing the China business of the SEB GROUP, the leading French electrical appliances manufacturer.
    Ming-Po CAI is an independent director on the board of GL Events, a leading French event organization company, and director on the boards of multiple portfolio companies including Yves Delorme Group, SUOFEIYA Co., Dessange Group among others.
    In addition, he is member of the Honorary Committee of Parsons The New School in Paris, and member of the global business leader organization YPO. Also, he is director on the board of two foundations – France-Chine Entreprendre Fondation, which Cathay Capital PE established in 2011, and the CEIBS Education Foundation.
    Mr. CAI received a master’s degree in Management from EM Lyon in France, and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China.

 

  • Richard Qiangdong Liu is the founder of JD.com and has been chairman and chief executive officer since the inception. Mr. Liu has over 15 years of experience in the retail and e-commerce industries. In June 1998, Mr. Liu started his own business in Beijing, which was mainly engaged in the distribution of magneto-optical products. In January 2004, Mr. Liu launched his first online retail website. He founded JD.com’s business later that year and has guided its development and growth since then. In December 2011, Mr. Liu received the prestigious award “2011 China Economic Person of the Year” from CCTV, China’s largest nationwide television network. Mr. Liu has received numerous other awards for his achievements in the e-commerce industry in China, such as “2011 Chinese Business Leader” and Fortune China’s “2012 Chinese Businessman.” Mr. Liu received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from People’s University of China in Beijing and an EMBA degree from the China Europe International Business School.

 

  • Ms. YANG Lan is a journalist, a talk show hostess, and a well respected TV interviewer in China. In 1999, Ms. Yang and her husband Mr. WU Zheng founded Sun Media Group, one of China’s leading privately owned media groups. Sun Media Group was nominated by Forbes magazine as one of the world’s best small businesses.  In 2000, Ms. Yang and Mr. Wu launched satellite television channel Sun TV which is the greater China’s first documentary channel focusing on historical and cultural programs.  Sun TV made a great mark in the promotion of Chinese culture and international exchanges through introducing China to the world and the World to China.
    In 2005, Ms. Yang undertook her firm commitment to philanthropic efforts and established a non-for-profit organization based in Hong Kong known as Sun Culture Foundation with a mission to promote the advancement of education and the building of philanthropic culture in greater China. In 2009, Ms. Yang’s efforts were recognized by the government when she won the national China Philanthropy Award.  In 2010, she was appointed China’s goodwill ambassador of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.  In 2010 Ms. Yang served as an ambassador for the Shanghai World Expo.  She also serves as an ambassador for the Special Olympics.
    Ms. YANG Lan is an outstanding media practitioner, a business woman with wisdom and a philanthropic activist. She has made tremendous contribution to China’s media industry, international culture exchange and world’s philanthropy.
